"The eyes are the window to the soul."
I believe that when you look into the eyes of any child you can more easily see the light of God.  They've not yet been tainted and engrained with a lot of the misconceptions of our world.  I also believe that it takes a powerful spirit to deliver a powerful message.  This powerful spirit came to all of us in the form of a very sick baby who had to fight hard to be here amongst the living.

His given name is Duckenson. His new adoptive parents gave him the name, Isaiah (which means “saved by the Lord.”)

Isaiah was born on December 30, 2006. His father was killed by street gangs. His mother is alive, but not able to feed her children. Isaiah was handed down through some family members and then taken to an orphanage on January 23rd, 2007.

He had many medical ups and downs and close calls, but he survives. His adoptive parents placed an urgent call via the internet for prayers for this baby and brought him to our attention.  Isaiah's Song

Isaiah reminds all of us that there are needs out there that must be met. We have to care for everyone on the planet.  It is our responsibility and our obligation.  I do not believe that there is any separation between any of us, no matter how much money or fortunate circumstances one may have.  It does no good if we allow others to suffer needlessly.

On the island of Haiti, people are starving - children are starving. Hopefully, we will find ways to make a difference no matter how small or trivial we feel it might be.

We sell t-shirts here to help raise money for the orphanage.  That orphanage is the one and only safe place for these children.  To view the t-shirts, just click here.  Read more about Isaiah's story on my blog (Tomaca's Vibe) and http://PagesfromPeoplesLives.com
